Car seat stands out among new high-tech gear

About the last product you'd expect to see at a showcase for new high technology is a child safety seat. And yet the first-of-its- kind SafeGuard child car seat from a company called IMMI probably created the loudest buzz at the influential Demofall conference I've been attending this week in Huntington Beach, Calif.
