Laptop of the pops; Downloads of fun when Macworld meets Boston's high-tech music makers

Michael Carrera sings, plays the guitar, bass and keyboards. Tonight he'll demonstrate his musical prowess on another instrument: the laptop. Armed with his PowerBook G4, Carrera will take the stage with the Acid Reggae Xperience, a local 10-piece ensemble led by Berklee College of Music faculty member Matt Jenson. The concert is part of a collaboration between Berklee and the Macworld Conference and Expo, a four-day showcase of the latest Apple Macintosh technology that kicks off today at Hynes Convention Center.
