LinuxWorld Bolsters Speaker Roster
IDG World Expo, a producer of tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, announced additions to the keynote line-up for LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, August 8-11, at Moscone Center West in San Francisco. Mike Shaver, founding member of the Mozilla project, and Mark Webbink, deputy general counsel and secretary at Red Hat, will join executives from IBM, Oracle and Hewlett Packard to discuss Linux and Open Source technology during their keynote addresses. Shaver will deliver a keynote address titled, "Flash Point: Reigniting Web Innovation." Shaver will explore the key issues at hand for those driving the continued growth of Web capabilities and share his perspective on the most important and exciting trends in Web development. Webbink will deliver a keynote address titled, "Software Protection and the Impact on Innovation." IDG World Expo noted that Webbink will discuss how the software industry is becoming more complicated every day with industry giants hanging on for dear life and Open Source upstarts trying to commoditize just about everything.
