IDG Ventures Vietnam has chief partner

IDG Ventures, a global venture capital firm of U.S.-based International Data Group (IDG), has appointed Nguyen Bao Hoang as the managing general partner of the IDG Ventures Vietnam Fund, a US$100-million fund awaiting approval from the Government. The fund will invest in 30 or 40 young information and communications technology companies in Vietnam. Hoang has served as the Asia managing director for VITC, a U.S. telecom company in Asia.
