Computer Server Market Grew 5.5% in Third Quarter: Survey

Factory sales of computer servers increased 5.5% in the third quarter, the sixth consecutive quarter of growth, researchers at IDC said. Low cost machines running chips from Intel Corp. (INTC) or Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) showed the fastest growth, with factory sales rising 14.2%, IDC said.
