CIO to be published from Bangalore
Bangalore: This IT hub of India will shortly have the country's first truly global IT publication ''CIO'' from the US based International Data Group (IDG). IDG was the world's leading technology media group and the first in its space to set up shop in India. Based here, IDG's Indian subsidiary (IDG Media Pvt Ltd) had launched its first international publication, titled Real CIO World. Positioned as a resource for Chief Information Officers (CIO), and other IT executives serving in this role, CIO is one of IDG's flagship brands. It is published across 16 other countries and has won over 140 international awards since its inception in 1987.
The Indian edition of CIO would be circulated to a qualified list of IT leaders responsible for leveraging IT to drive business strategy and bottom line profits in their organizations. The magazine would follow the fortnightly cycle of its parent US edition. ''CIO magazine embraces the highest level of editorial excellence and design and has won several awards for it, including the Grand Neal Award , Magazine of the Year by ASBPE and the Ozzie Design Award by Folio'' says N Bringi Dev, President of IDG India, who is bullish that CIO will raise the bar for all Indian publications in this space
